While too many republican politicians are not much better, for over the past 160 years, many democrats are worse, because democrats:

. . . and today, not much has changed, as many democrats fuel racial tensions, hate, pit U.S. citizens against each other (regarding mask and vaccine mandates, CRT and indoctrination in public schools, defunding police, rioting, etc.), and pit U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants against each other, for more electoral votes based on the decennial census, which does not verify citizenship (notice the common-thread in all of the following):

In addition to the above, more democrats have been convicted of  corruption  and  voter fraud:

Not to mention the following:

https://site2data.com/homicides1.html

MANY democratS IGNORE or DENY HIGHER HOMICIDE RATES by CRIMINAL NON-CITIZENS than by U.S. CITIZENS:

The cost of illegal immigration is difficult to  assess, but estimates range from $54 BILLION  -to-  $401 BILLION per year (prior to JAN-2021).

However, those costs do not include the untold costs of crime by criminal non-citzens:

Many democrats ignore 2,000 homicides per year, and many thousands of other crimes per year by criminal non-citizens, and here's whyAlso, 97.4% of illegal immigrants reside in only 10 states (CA,TX,FL,NY,IL,NJ,GA,NC,AZ,VA), and 40% reside in only 2 states (California and Texas).

Many democrats also cleverly (and dishonestly) try to average crime by criminal non-citizens over all 50 states, in order to hide the higher homicide rates by criminal non-citizens.  However, below is a break-down for only 5 states (CA, TX, NY, AZ, and FL) of those 10 states (i.e. CA,TX,FL,NY,IL,NJ,GA,NC,AZ,VA) where 97.4% of all illegal immigrants reside.

NOTE: Non-criminal illegal immigrants simply looking for a job are not the villains. The true villains are the illegal employers and politicians who despicably pit U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants against each other for profit, and for more electoral voters (based on population that is based on the decennial CENSUS).

FOR YEAR 2017 and 2018:
The Department of Homeland Security reports that there were 4,000 homicides arrests in 2017 and 2018 (i.e. 2,000 homicides arrests per year) by non-citizens.
The total number of non-citizens in the U.S. in year 2018 is:  25.3 Million.
The homicide rate for non-citizens in year 2018 is (2,000 homicides / 25.3 Million) =
0.00007905  (assuming 1 homicide per non-citizen).
The homicide rate for U.S. citizens (nation-wide) in year 2018 is (16,072 homicides / 328 Million) =
0.000049 .
Therefore:
0.00007905 / 0.000049 = 1.61  (i.e. the homicide rate is 61% higher for non-citizens, than for U.S. citizens) for year 2018.

FOR ONLY YEAR 2009:
Also, consider the following numbers (see below) of criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide in the same 5 states (sources: https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/crime-illegal-immigration/ , https://www.gao.gov/assets/320/316959.pdf ):

In Arizona in year 2009, there were 240 criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide.
In California in year 2009, there were 2,430 criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide.
In Florida in year 2009, there were 480 criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide.
In New York at the end of year 2009, there were 1,350 criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide.
In Texas in year 2009, there were 900 criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide.
Therefore, there was a total of 5,400 criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide in year 2009 in only 5 states (AZ,CA,FL,NY,TX).
The combined number of criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide in those 5 states for year 2009 is (240+2,430+480+1,350+900) =5,400.
The combined number of U.S. citizens incarcerated for homicide in those 5 states for year 2009 is (3,484-240)+(28,030-2,430)+(12,684-480)+(10,254-1,350)+(16,178-900) = (3,244)+(25,600)+(12,204)+(8,904)+(15,278) = 65,230 .
The combined population of illegal immigrants for those 5 states in year 2009 is (350,000+2.5Million+875,000+800,000+1.65Million) = 6.175 Million.
The combined population of U.S. citizens for those 5 states in year 2009 is (6.3Million+37Million+18.8Million+19.3Million+25Million)= 106.4 Million.
The homicide rate of non-citizens in those 5 states in year 2009 is (5,400 / 6.175 Million) =
0.000875 .
The homicide rate of U.S. citizens in those 5 states in year 2009 is (65,230 / 106.4 Million) =
0.000613 .
Therefore:
0.000875 / 0.000613 = 1.43  (i.e. the homicide rate is 43% higher for non-citizens, than for U.S. citizens, for only 5 states in year 2009).

For each of the following for each of 5 states (AZ,CA,FL,NY,TX) in year 2009:

ARIZONA: In Arizona in year 2009, there were 240 criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide.

CALIFORNIA: In California in year 2009, there were 2,430 criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide.

FLORIDA: In Florida in year 2009, there were 480 criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide.

NEW YORK: In New York in year 2009, there were 1,350 criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide.

TEXAS: In Texas in year 2009, there were 900 criminal non-citizens incarcerated for homicide.

FOR YEARS 1991-to-2009:
GAO-Report-11-187 (source:  www.gao.gov/assets/320/316959.pdf) states that there were 25,064 homicides by a study population of 249,000 convicted criminal non-citizens incarcerated in U.S. prisons and jails in only 5 states (AZ,CA,FL,NY,TX) between 2003 and 2009 (7 years), and the homicides occurred between AUG-1955 and APR-2010 (54.7 years).
However, GAO-Report-11-187 states that 90% of all arrests occurred after 1990 and before 2010 (after the amnesty of 1986; i.e. 1991-to-2009 19 years; see chart below).
The study population of 249,000 criminal non-citizens was only a portion of all criminal non-citizens in U.S. jails and prisons in only 5 states.
I.C.E. estimates the total number of incarcerated non-citizens in the U.S. was about 1.9 million in 2016.
There were 1.7 Million arrest reocords, and nearly 3 Million offenses for the study population of 249,000 criminal non-citizens, and the study only examined criminal convictions of criminal non-citizens occurring in 7 years from 2003-to-2009. Each criminal non-citizen had (on average) 7 arrests each, and each averaged 12 offenses each.

However, 90% of the crimes by criminal non-citizens occurred after 1990 and before 2011 (a span of 19 years), and the levels of illegal immigration increased significantly (increased by 80%) see graph below) from 3.4 Million in 1990 to 10.5 Million in 2005, and remained above 10.5 Million from 2005 to 2018.
Therefore, 90% of 25,064 homicides = 22,558 homicides by non-citizens (over span of 19 years, in 5 states, and only for convictions that occurred in 7 years from 2003-to-2009).
Therefore, (22,558 homicides / 19 years) =
1,187 homicides per year (3.25 per day) by non-citizens (over span of 19 years, in 5 states, and only for convictions that occurred in 7 years from 2003-to-2009).
The U.S. population in year 2009 = 308 Million in year 2009.
The total population of non-citizens in the U.S. in year 2009 = 21.8 Million non-citizens (10.8Million illegal immigrants + 11.0 Million non-citizens; for all states).
The total number of homicides in the U.S. in year 2009 = 15,399 homicides (for all states; source:  www.disastercenter.com/crime/uscrime.htm).
The overall U.S. homicide rate in 2009 is (15,399 homicides / 308 Million) = 0.0000500 homicides per year (for all states).
The homicide rate in 2009 for non-citizens is (1,187 homicides / 21.8 Million non-citizens) =
0.0000544 .
The homicide rate in 2009 for U.S. citizens is (15,399 - 1,187 homicides) / 308 Million) =
0.0000459 .
Therefore,
0.0000544 / 0.0000459 = 1.19  (i.e. the homicide rate in year 2009 is 19% higher for non-citizens, than for U.S. citizens).
However, that is a very conservative estimate, because:

Therefore, based on all estimates above, the overall homicide rate for non-citizens is significantly higher than the homicide rate for U.S. citizens (especially in New York and California), and has been increasing since year 1990.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS in the U.S. from 1959 to 2018:

And the net losses per year are estimated to be about  $296 Billion per year (excluding much of the cost of crime).

No one knows the exact numbers of crimes and homicides by non-citizens, because many politicians want to keep that type of information hidden.
However, based on the evidence above, the estimates of total homicides by criminal non-citizens are very reasonable.

Many politicians ignore the crime and thousands of homicides per year by criminal non-citizens, but (hypocritically) want to abolish or restrict 2nd amendment rights, and say it is worth it “even if it saves
only ONE life".    One homicide by a criminal non-citizen in the U.S. is  one too many,  preventable, and should have never happened.
